Villa Lili Boutique House Hotel

We had an amazing stay at Villa Lili and already can't wait to return. The location was perfect, just around the corner from all the restaurants and shops in Rinconada. Our room (top floor) was large and comfortable with an amazing balcony and view. The kind staff and homemade breakfasts make this place truly special!

This is such a gem in Puerto Escondido! The staff is absolutely wonderful people. The breakfast of local food is absolutely delicious, and the rooms are specious and beautiful. Stayed in a room with a terrace with a view to the sea and a jacuzzi. It's just a 10 min walk to Carrizalillo, a nice beach to swim at or take surfing lessons. And just a short walk to restaurants and cafes. You won't want to leave this place!

Sister hotel to the amazing Quinta Lily. Also perfectly located for Carrazaillo beach and the main drag of restaurants. The kindest hosts also with the best breakfasts I have eaten in Mexico. Great sized rooms, super chilled. And it has its own brewery on the premises! Our week here was fabulous and we can't wait to come back.

Villa Lili is one of two small boutique hotels, the other is Quinta Lili, family owned and operated - and after a 10 days stay, it felt like we were part of that family. Over the 10 days, we stayed in 4 of the 6 guest suites (for a variety of totally understandable reasons), and each one was well appointed and very comfortable. There is no AC, but the use of ceiling fans was adequate and much more environmentally friendly. In fact, we learned that from construction to ongoing maintenance, decisions are made with consideration for the environment. Yay! Our hosts and staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. Daily breakfasts were so yummy - I’ve really missed the fresh, sweet pineapple and papaya and the authentic Mexican hot dish that was different everyday. The location in Rinconada was 2 blocks from several great restaurants, a grocery store, yoga studio and perfect for walking to beautiful beaches, exploring the Centro area and accessing the Playa Zacatela and la Punta. Would I stay at either of these hotels again? Absolutely!

We had an amazing stay at Villa Lili! The family who owns it is very friendly and engaging. The breakfast was a delicious local meal. Beautiful ocean views on third and fourth floor and a relaxing space to hang by the pool! A couple minute walk to the main boulevard and beach. Highly recommend the place. We hope to come back sometime soon.

Not only was the room, food and amenities all top-notch and above-and-beyond expectations, but Luis and the rest of the staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. From great activity recommendations to helping us navigate Mexican healthcare as though we were family, the whole staff were beyond gracious. The location is also perfectly located for those looking to spend time at some of the quieter beaches.

We spent 4 nights here. The staff is amazing, and the rooms are very nice. We had the Blue Heaven suite with a private jacuzzi. The AC was very cool! We could also cool down in the Jacuzzi that after filling with warm water the first night we left with cooler water. Breakfast every morning was nice. The pools are lovely at night. Wifi Signal is great! We were able to use the kitchen downstairs to cook a few times. I wish the TV downstairs worked so we could watch it while eating dinner. Since it didn't work we ended up bringing our pizzas upstairs and making a mess in the room. The TV in the room is huge! My only negative comment about Villa Lili was the lack of shampoo or soap in the shower, which I couldnt understand since everything else about the place is so well thought out. The shower head is not very luxurious either for a romance suite. They should list on the website that the room across the hall has A jacuzzi, a Kitchen and a big fridge. Knowing that we would have stayed there instead. We only found out after looking at the room after the previous guests had left. Its nice to have the craft beer on site, but I am a beer snob and I didn't find it anything special for $50 pesos a bottle. Its not bad, just not great. I would say Average. It obviously lacks better malt because there was no head, and very little carbonation and an overall lack of maltiness. It very much resembles Homebrew . I have actually made better beer myself when I was homebrewing - although to be fair I have made much worse as well! Cheers!

So happy we stayed here!! Luis and the rest of the staff were so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We visited in January and felt that there was always a nice ocean breeze so it was never too hot in the room and the breakfasts were different and delicious every day! The only thing that would be worth noting is to bring earplugs to Puerto Escondido because there tends to be music playing late into the night several times during the week We’ll definitely stay here again next time we’re in town!
